The exiting grave relocation project at Camden has now reached the stage where all the graves have been unearthed and documented and they are now awaiting reburial at the New Cemetery in Ermelo. The exhumations were completed early in January 2016 after some delays were encountered as a result of the holiday season.
Although most of the graves were severely decomposed, some of them still showed interesting grave goods and burial practises. Lots of different burial goods ranging from coffin nails to rifle cartridges were documented during the extended exhumation.
